David is involved with a charity in Zimbabwe and spends time on the ground a couple of times a year.

The Jafuta Foundation, founded in 2012, is a non-profit organization dedicated to uplifting communities in Hwange West, Zimbabwe.  Initially focused on wildlife conservation, in more recent years it has expanded its mission to address broader challenges in the most marginalised rural communities.

​

These challenges can be summarised as empowering communities through increased access to essential resources and services, championing conservation, advancing gender equality, fostering resilience, and promoting self-sufficiency.

​

Their key areas of work are education, women and youth empowerment, access to water and agriculture, with self-sufficiency and sustainability being core to all projects.
